Designed by Fumitaka Hara these ceramic water sharpeners are the ultimate sharpening tool for the Global knife, and any other Japanese blade. Simply pour water into the compartment of the Sharpener and run your knife through the series of wheels to maintain and restore the razor sharpness of your Global knives.

Direction on use:
- Pour water into the compartment of the sharpener and keep it there during sharpening operation. The water in the wheel compartment serves always to rinse the revolving ceramic whetstones and to prevent over-heating the knife blade. The sharpener should always be rinsed with clean water by removing the cover after use.
- To keep the sharpener steady, firmly grip the handle with one hand.
- Next, place the knife blade vertically into groove No.1 COARSE with White wheel, and move the blade back and forth with SLIGHT PRESSURE 7 or 8 times, or as necessary.
NO HEAVY PRESSURE IS REQUIRED.
- Next, place the knife blade vertically into groove No.2 MEDIUM with Pink wheel, and move the blade back and forth with SLIGHT PRESSURE 7 or 8 times, or as necessary.
It is very important not to apply too much pressure when passing the knife through the sharpener, as doing so may cause damage to the wheels.
If undue pressure is applied, the wheels may break or become damaged. Such damage will not be covered under our warranty, but replacement wheels are generally available to purchase.
